Level 1/2 Desktop Support Analyst
Job Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot desktop, and server, problems, diagnose, and solve
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software incidents/problems
• Provide exceptional service support to the business
• Contribute to policies, processes, and procedures improvements
• Install, maintain, and support new hardware and applications
• Prioritising and managing several open cases and mini projects at one time
• New start induction training and setup
• Keep up to date with advancements in technology
• IT service and IT system security compliance
• Create Knowledgebase articles to help resolve IT related issues quickly
• Supporting end users on a broad range of hardware and software applications including
• Administer backups and restores
• System Performance Monitoring
Job Context
Chostar Solutions is a Solutions Company (Managed Service Provider) and we’re now looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer with at least 2 years of experience to join our team due to expansion and growth. This is an exciting time to join us while we go through this growth phase!
This role will be remote based and onsite at our office with a requirement to travel to client sites around Lanarkshire and Glasgow
Experience Requirements
• Proficient in Windows desktop support, installation, and administration
• At least 2 years of experience with hands-on IT service/support delivery
• Exceptional customer service
• Windows Server installation, and administration experience
• Microsoft 365 Tenant Administration and Support.
• Microsoft 365 SharePoint and M365 Exchange Administration and Support
• Networking support, router setup, managed switches.
• Experience in incident and problem management
• Excellent troubleshooting and logical problem-solving skills
• Experience in using a helpdesk system
Additional Requirements
• Previous MSP/Outsourced IT Experience
• Windows Server/Azure administration
• Firewalls setup/administration
• Experience in supporting virtual environments VMware, Hyper-V
• Proven ability to work on own initiative
